This past Friday and Saturday, I had the honor of working with an incredible group of designers, health experts and community representatives who had generously volunteered their time to explore creative, new ideas for how to prevent lifestyle disease in New York city. (That’s one of them, Dave Dawson, above!)
A big “thank you” to the New York chapter of AIGA, and all who were involved. It was so exciting to be a part of this workshop, and witness the amazing ideas that the different teams came up with. AIGA next takes these workshops to Seattle and Birmingham, where teams in those communities will explore similar questions and issues.
If you’re interested in reading more about what comes out of these workshops - please visit http://www.aiga.org/design-for-good/. It may take a few days for them to sum up all the great thinking from last week, but they’ll be sure to post more information about the workshop soon!
