There’s a huge gap in the world today between “health care” and “self-care.” We’re told what to do at the doctor’s office, but aren’t given a lot of support or information about how to do it ourselves at home.
I want to explore how to bridge that gap - particularly for women. Why? Because women today really need help. We’re the “chief health officers” of our families who most influence health and nutrition habits of our families. But we’re often so focused on caring for others, that we neglect to care for ourselves.
How can we motivate one another to take steps to improve our health - both physically and emotionally? How can we raise awareness of our changing nutrition needs at different stages of life? And how can we share stories and offer support to each other in times of need?
These are questions that I’m passionate about finding answers to, and I invite you to help. By using what I call collaborative disruption, the joining together of ideas from many different people and places to drive change, I’m confident that we can revolutionize how we take care of ourselves - and each other - for the good of all women.
